Paris Walkabout

Thomas Jefferson said “ a walk about Paris will provide lessons in history, beauty and in the point of life.” For us a 10-hour Parisian layover was also a lesson in fighting jet lag!

We (Josh, our 4-year-old daughter, M, my brother and I) arrived in Paris via the CDG shuttle around 11:00 am. This gave us approximately five hours to introduce both M and my brother to one of my most favorite cities in the world.

Nothing quite prepared me as a girl-mom for showing my girly-girl this beautiful city! Though we didn’t get to do much (and the weather was cold), we hit the highlights of strolling along the Seine River, seeing Notre Dame Cathedral, briefly exploring in the Louvre, pointing out our other favorite museums (Musée d’Orsay and Musée de l’Orangerie) and visiting the Eiffel Tower to show M exactly where Josh asked me to marry him 13 years ago.

We were all tired and a little grumpy but having the ability to explore the city of love while we waited for our next flight to Marrakech, Morocco was a life saver!
