Blue-tiful
Just like the night before we arrived in Chefchaouen in the evening. No cars are able to drive in the narrow site streets, so Rida dropped us off for the night and one of the riad owners walked us through the winding blue streets and steep stairs to our accommodations. We had our best tagine meal of the trip at the riad cooked by the husband/wife owners. We sat on the rooftop terrace while we waited for our dinner which took a while to prepare but was well worth the wait! We

Fes-tastic
The remainder of our guided tour had us in the car quite a bit as we visited - essentially- the rest of the country. After leaving the desert, we drove through the Ziz Valley full of palm groves and greenery for the first time of our trip. We also stopped briefly to see Barbary Macaques living in the cedar forests outside Ifrane. Ifrane is also called the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Located in the Middle Atlas Mountains, it is famous for being one of the cleanest cities in the

Atlas Ascension
Day 1 in Morocco was an immersion in culture, food, sight and sound! We arrived late in Marrakech after our flight from Paris. It was straight to the nearby hotel for us as we had plans to be up early and start our five-day full-country tour. Though, we typically choose to explore independently, we all agreed that the convenience (and unbeatable price) of a private tour was the best was to experience this incredible place. Morocco has been on my travel wish-list for many, man

Paris Walkabout
Thomas Jefferson said “ a walk about Paris will provide lessons in history, beauty and in the point of life.” For us a 10-hour Parisian layover was also a lesson in fighting jet lag! We (Josh, our 4-year-old daughter, M, my brother and I) arrived in Paris via the CDG shuttle around 11:00 am. This gave us approximately five hours to introduce both M and my brother to one of my most favorite cities in the world. Nothing quite prepared me as a girl-mom for showing my girly-girl
